Lyrics: Prof. Zbigniew Mikolyko, Grzegorz Pleszynski, Black Dwarf – experimental collective work, folk songs
Music and direction: Grzegorz Pleszynski
Costumes: Marta Filipiak
Performers: Laura Florentyna Dziąba (soloist), Roksana Korban (soprano), Łukasz Lenart (baritone bass), Black Dwarf (choir).
This is the latest project of the Black Dwarf Choir and Gregory Pleszynski. It refers to the indigenous Tanat tradition.
The idea was conceived by Professor Zbigniew Mikolyko, who is also the author of the works included in the performance.
Five works will be presented during this year’s festival. The Choir’s performances have the character of trance-like performance.
So what
The cat meows all night, the sand dirty in the box rots
In the hallway hangs a coat, in the coffin blows the wind, and at home weeping
I WAS, YOU WERE, IT WAS
The wind snatches the leaves
And after death eternal life – in memory and in the heart
An excerpt from the Mourning Songs.
